Patterns of Postictal Abnormalities in Relation to Status Epilepticus in Adults

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Abnormalities on peri‐ictal diffusion‐weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DWI‐PMAs) are well‐established for patients with status epilepticus (SE), but knowledge on patterns of DWI‐PMAs and their prognostic impact is sparse. Methods This systematic review and individual participant data meta‐analysis included observational studies ...

Use of Spline function for the characterisation on peak yield, peak day and persistency in lactation curves in Murciano-Granadina goats

open access: yesItalian Journal of Animal Science, 2019
The objective of this study was to characterise the peak yield (PY), peak day (PD) and the persistency (P) of the lactation curve of Murciano-Granadina goats by Spline considering the variation factors (region, type of kidding, lactation number and ...

Associations between the time of conception and the shape of the lactation curve in early lactation in Norwegian dairy cattle

open access: yesActa Veterinaria Scandinavica, 2011
Background This study was carried out to determine if an association exists between the shape of the lactation curve before it is influenced by the event of conception and the time from calving to conception in Norwegian dairy cattle. Lactation curves of

Modelling of the first lactation milk yield of Frieswal cows using different mathematical functions

open access: yesIndian Journal of Animal Sciences, 2023
A study was conducted to find the most appropriate mathematical model that describes the first lactation milk yield of Frieswal cattle. Data on 42,368 individual first lactation test day yields of 1,072 Frieswal cows calved during 2005 to 2014 in Ambala

Sex Representation in US Stroke Clinical Trials: A Decade of Trends and Challenges

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Stroke remains a major cause of disability and mortality in the US, with significant sex‐based disparities, and females remain underrepresented in stroke clinical trials. We aimed to examine sex representation in US‐based stroke clinical trials, identify trial characteristics associated with higher female enrollment (≥ 50%), and ...

Evaluation of an application for dynamic feeding of dairy cows [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Dynamic feeding is an innovative application for concentrate feeding of dairy cows. Daily individual settings are derived from the actual individual milk yield response to concentrate intake.

ALDOA Promotes Glycolysis and NLRP3/GSDMD Pyroptosis to Accelerate ALS Progression

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is characterized by progressive motor neuron degeneration. Glycolytic dysregulation is implicated in disease progression, yet the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. This study investigates how Aldolase A (ALDOA) drives ALS progression through glycolysis‐mediated motor neuron pyroptosis.

Seasonal Influences on Milk Yield and Composition Dynamics during a Normal Lactation in Dairy Cows: Milk Yield, Fat and Protein Precentage

open access: yesScientific Papers Animal Science and Biotechnologies, 2023
Researches were made on 125 lactations from Romanian Black Spotted cows and aimed to study the evolution of the interval between calving on milk yield and quality.

Production Evaluation Techniques Based on Lactation Curves

open access: yesJournal of Dairy Science, 1995
Test day data on milk yield for individual cows were generated using Monte Carlo simulation consisting of 1000 herds. Each herd contained 30 second lactation cows for each of 2 yr. Three scenarios were simulated with increasing effects of test day and seasonality.
