Dexime: A Selectively Enzyme‐Degradable Hydrogel for Protein Therapeutic Release

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A dextrin‐oxime hydrogel (dexime) is produced using ketone or aldehyde modified dextrin and tetra‐oxyamine modified poly(ethylene glycol). The rheological and mechanical properties of dexime are tunable. Dexime is injectable, cytocompatible, hydrolytically stable, and selectively degradable by α‐amylase.

Turning Unpredictable Biomolecule Adsorption to Controlled Corona Formation: Focus on Carbon Nanomaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Controlling the protein corona formation onto carbon nanomaterials (CNMs) enhances their functionalities as platforms for cancer theranostics. Here, we reviewed the effects of the intrinsic and acquired properties of CNMs on protein corona formation, the consequent biological and toxicological outcomes, and the strategies to reshape corona formation ...

LACTATION PERFORMANCE AND LACTATION CURVE TRAITS IN GRAZING KATAHDIN SHEEP

open access: yes
The aim of this study was to assess lactation traits, lactation curve shape and curve parameters in Katahdin sheep under a grazing-based feeding system. A total of 27 second-parity Katahdin ewes were evaluated. The animals were kept on a pasture composed

Genetic associations of growth and lactation curve components in polled Hereford cattle [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Weight and milk production records of Polled Hereford cows born from 1967 to 1979 were used to fit growth and lactation curves. A multiple-trait, derivative-free, restricted maximum likelihood (MTDFREML) procedure, utilizing a full animal model, was

Genetic and environmental parameters estimation for milk traits in Slovenian dairy sheep using random regression model

open access: yesCzech Journal of Animal Science, 2013
(Co)variance components for daily milk yield, fat, and protein content in Slovenian dairy sheep were estimated with random regression model. Test-day records were collected by the ICAR A4 method. Analysis was done for 38 983 test-day records of 3068 ewes
