Dynamics of the Mammalian Placental Metabolome in Placentogenesis and Embryonic Development
This study identifies three metabolic stages (E8.5, E9.5–10.5, E11.5–14.5) and two transition periods (E8.5–9.5, E10.5–11.5) in mouse placental development. NAD(H) emerges as a key dynamic metabolite that enhances embryonic growth through accelerated segmentation and increased proliferation of mouse embryonic stem cell (mESC)‐induced presomitic ...

Genetic correlations between production and disease traits during first lactation in Holstein cows
The aim of this study was to estimate genetic correlations between milk yield, somatic cell score (SCS), mastitis, and claw and leg disorders (CLDs) during first lactation in Holstein cows by using a threshold–linear random regression test-day model.

Particulate matter ≤2.5 µm (PM2.5) elevates risks of neurological and chronic metabolic diseases, but the underlying mechanisms linking PM2.5‐induced central nervous system (CNS) injury to metabolic dysfunction remain unclear. Hypothalamic pro‐opiomelanocortin‐expressing (POMC+) neurons regulate systemic metabolic homeostasis, and tripartite motif ...

Exclusive breastfeeding establishes a thermogenic memory in brown adipose tissue by activating the HIF1AN/AMPK/α‐ketoglutarate axis via milk‐derived extracellular vesicles enriched in miR‐125a‐5p. This programming preserves metabolic health, while αKG supplementation restores BAT function under mixed feeding, offering strategies to mitigate the ...

Breastfeeding in patients with peripartum cardiomyopathy: clinical outcomes and physician counseling
Background Peripartum cardiomyopathy (PPCM) is a form of heart failure occurring towards the end of pregnancy or in the months following delivery. Concerns regarding the role of prolactin (the polypeptide hormone responsible for lactation) driving the ...

This study develops gallium‐doped V2C MXene nanozymes (Ga‐V2C) to treat acetaminophen‐induced liver injury through multi‐death pathway blockade and hepatocyte regeneration. Unlike conventional single‐target therapies like N‐acetylcysteine, Ga‐V2C nanozymes enable oxidative stress suppression, apoptosis, and ferroptosis inhibition, and enhanced ...

Wedelolactone (WED), a natural TLR2 agonist, promotes neutrophil differentiation and enhances bactericidal function, offering a potential therapeutic strategy for neutropenia. Using a multi‐omics approach, this study reveals that WED activates the TLR2/MEK/ERK pathway, upregulating key transcription factors (PU.1, CEBPβ) to drive neutrophil development.
