Specificity of Bremia lactucae from Lactuca sativa
Transactions of the British Mycological Society, 1977Bremia lactucae Regel isolates from Lactuca sativa L. were capable of extensively invading only closely related wild species belonging to the same subsection of the genus as the original host (i.e. Lactuca serriola L., L. virosa L., L. saligna L. and variants of these species).

Hyperomyzus lactucae (Linnaeus, 1758) (Fig. 6) Longitud 2 a 3,2 mm; color verde a verde pálido; Cuerpo fusiforme (Fig. 6a). Antenas tan largas como el cuerpo, de seis antenómeros; ápices de cada antenómero oscuros, al igual que ápices de fémures y tibias. Cuerpo, cabeza, antenómeros I, II y base del III palidos.
