Phase lag in photothermal science
European Journal of PhysicsAbstract Photothermal science includes a wide variety of techniques based on the photothermal effect, which consists in the conversion of optical energy into heat. In the most widespread configuration, an intensity modulated light beam is (partially) absorbed at the surface of the sample under study and due to the photothermal effect ...

A theoretical result on phase-lag
International Journal of Computer Mathematics, 1993We prove a Theoretical result which relates phase-lag to the error constant of a numerical method for periodic problem y′ =f(x,y).

Learning of Phase Lags in Coupled Neural Oscillators
Neural Computation, 1994If an oscillating neural circuit is forced by another such circuit via a composite signal, the phase lag induced by the forcing can be changed by changing the relative strengths of components of the coupling. We consider such circuits, with the forced and forcing oscillators receiving signals with some given phase lag.

The exact and unique solution for phase-lead and phase-lag compensation
IEEE Transactions on Education, 2003Phase-lead and -lag compensation is one of the most commonly used techniques for designing control systems in the frequency domain, especially when the Bode diagram or root locus is used. In most cases, the graphic-based approximation or trial-and-error approach has been utilized in the design process.

Implementation of Lagged Phase Space for Spike Detection
2018 IEEE International Symposium on Medical Measurements and Applications (MeMeA), 2018The presurgical evaluation patients for resective epilepsy surgery require localization of the epileptogenic cortical zone (EZ). The detection and analysis of interictal and ictal epileptiform spikes is of major importance for identifying this area.

Phase lag in periodic Coriolis star nystagmus
Medical & Biological Engineering, 1970Periodic Coriolis star nystagmus was produced in normal and unilabyrinthectomized cats. The phase lags of the horizontal and the vertical components were measured and plotted against the angular frequency of the applied horizontal rotation. An empirical exponential function was fitted to the experimental values in order to smooth their distribution ...
