A new triterpene glycoside from the stems of Lagerstroemia indica
Archives of Pharmacal Research, 2016A bioassay-guided fractionation and chemical investigation of the stems of Lagerstroemia indica resulted in the isolation and identification of a new triterpene glycoside, lagerindiside (1), along with nine known triterpenes (2-10). The structure of this new compound was elucidated on the basis of 1D and 2D nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopic data

Biphenylquinolizidine Alkaloids from Lagerstroemia indica
Journal of Natural Products, 2009Two new biphenylquinolizidine alkaloids, 5-epi-dihydrolyfoline (1) and its stereoisomer, dihydrolyfoline (2), along with lagerine (3) were isolated from the aerial parts of Lagerstroemia indica. The structures of compounds 1-3 were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic techniques.

The oxidative damage of the Lagerstroemia indica chlorosis mutant gl1 involves in ferroptosis
Journal of Plant Physiology, 2023Photooxidation is the major physiological performance of the Lagerstroemia indica chlorosis mutant gl1 under field conditions. The mechanisms of the progressive symptoms of oxidative damage from the lower older leaves to the upper mature leaves are complicated and still unclear.
