High-Frequency Resonator Using A1 Lamb Wave Mode in LiTaO3 Plate
IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control, 2019Acoustic wave devices utilizing plate waves in thin lithium tantalate (LiTaO3) have the potential of achieving high resonance frequency with a suitable electromechanical coupling factor and a relatively small temperature coefficient of frequency (TCF ...

Lamb wave interaction with light
Journal of Applied Physics, 1985The interaction of light with Lamb waves propagating in transparent plates has been investigated. The analytical study has been done by considering a three-step interaction, at the limiting surfaces and within the propagation medium. Experimental data are given, relative to isotropic crystal plates in the MHz frequency regions and compared with theory.

Damage Identification Using Lamb Waves
Key Engineering Materials, 2010The concept of damage detection using sensors in composite panels is of growing interest, due to the reduction in maintenance activity and increasing of the aircraft safety. Piezoelectric materials have been widely used to build a variety of transducers for activating and receiving Lamb waves which are used for delamination/damage detection. The aim of

Lamb-wave electroacoustic voltage sensor
Journal of Applied Physics, 1985The effect of a bias electric field on the phase velocity of Lamb waves propagating in a piezoelectric plate has been investigated in order to develop an electroacoustic voltage sensor. Experiments were performed on YX and YZ LiNbO3 Lamb-wave delay lines, used as the stabilizing element in the feedback loop of an oscillator, by measuring the fractional

Contact scanning Lamb wave tomography
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1998Lamb waves are guided ultrasonic waves capable of propagating relatively long distances in platelike structures such as airframe skins, storage tanks, and pressure vessels. Their propagation depends on frequency thickness and material properties, and, because structural flaws present changes in effective thickness and/or material properties, Lamb waves

Dictionary design for Lamb wave sparse decomposition
NDT & E international, 2019Lamb wave is a promising tool for nondestructive testing and evaluation (NDT&E). Due to dispersion and multi-mode, wave components generally overlap with each other at Lamb wave signal, which makes the interpretation difficult.

Subsonic lamb waves in anisotropic layers
Journal of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, 2001According to \textit{H. Lamb} [Proc. Roy. Soc. London. Ser. A. 93, No. 648, 114-128 (1917)] a harmonic wave consists of several partial waves of the form \[ u_k = m_ke^{ir\gamma_k x\cdot v}e^{ir(n\cdot x -ct}.\tag{1} \] The author shows that in the case of the Lamb wave propagating with subsonic velocity in anisotropic layers the representation (1 ...
