Support $τ$-Tilting Modules under Split-by-Nilpotent Extensions [PDF]

open access: yesColloquium Mathematicum, 160(2) (2020), 247--262, 2020
Let $\Gamma$ be a split extension of a finite-dimensional algebra $\Lambda$ by a nilpotent bimodule $_\Lambda E_\Lambda$, and let $(T,P)$ be a pair in $\mod\Lambda$ with $P$ projective. We prove that $(T\otimes_\Lambda \Gamma_\Gamma, P\otimes_\Lambda \Gamma_\Gamma)$ is a support $\tau$-tilting pair in $\mod \Gamma$ if and only if $(T,P)$ is a support $\

The representation of oneself in political-narrative discourses: from lambda to ethos

open access: yesSigno y Seña, 2018
In this article we analyze, from a polyphonic and non-referential perspective of enunciation (Ducrot 1984), a set of political-narrative discourses, that is, micronarration where the political speaker talks about himself in the recent past.

Elastic‐Wave Propagation in Chiral Metamaterials: A Couple‐Stress Theory Perspective

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The intrinsic chirality of chiral metamaterials renders an effective medium based on the classical continuum theory ineffective for predicting their acoustic activity. This limitation is addressed in the present study by employing augmented asymptotic homogenization to derive a couple‐stress‐based effective medium, enabling accurate predictions in the ...

Systems formed by translates of one element in $L_p(\mathbb R)$ [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2009
Let $1\le p <\infty$, $f\in L_p(\real)$ and $\Lambda\subseteq \real$. We consider the closed subspace of $L_p(\real)$, $X_p (f,\Lambda)$, generated by the set of translations $f_{(\lambda)}$ of $f$ by $\lambda \in\Lambda$. If $p=1$ and $\{f_{(\lambda)} :\lambda\in\Lambda\}$ is a bounded minimal system in $L_1(\real)$, we prove that $X_1 (f,\Lambda ...

Spray Deposition for Solvent Annealing of Hybrid Poly(3,4‐Ethylenedioxythiophene) Polystyrene Sulfonate Cellulose Silver Nanowire Composite Electrodes Using a Roll‐to‐Roll Coater

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The fabrication and post‐treatment via solvent annealing of poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene) polystyrene sulfonate‐based electrodes using spray deposition in a roll‐to‐roll setup are presented. The decrease in sheet resistance and its correlation with nanostructure and molecular structure in the electrodes as a function of the processing parameters is ...

Propriétés de maximalité concernant une représentation définie par Lusztig [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
Let $\lambda$ be a symplectic partition, denote Jord^{bp}($\lambda$) the set of even positive integers i which appear in $\lambda$, and let a map $\epsilon:Jord^{bp}(\lambda) \to {\pm 1}$. The generalized Springer's correspondence associates to $(\lambda,\epsilon)$ an irreducible representation $\rho(\lambda,\epsilon)$ of some Weyl group.

Oscillatory bifurcation for semilinear ordinary differential equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2016
We consider the nonlinear eigenvalue problem \[u''(t) + \lambda f(u(t)) = 0, \quad u(t) > 0, \quad t \in I := (-1,1), \quad u(1) = u(-1) = 0, \] where $f(u) = u + (1/2)\sin^k u$ ($k \ge 2$) and $\lambda > 0$ is a bifurcation parameter.

Adjustable Plasmonic Core–Shell Nanoparticles for Personalized Color Vision Correction

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a personalized solution for correcting color vision deficiency (CVD) by embedding tunable core‐shell metal nanoparticles—a common nanotechnology—into contact lenses. By customizing the nanoparticles’ optical properties to filter specific wavelengths, these lenses address individual visual impairments, enhancing color ...

Synergistic Effects of Cerium and Magnesium on Optimizing Electrical Conductivity and Mechanical Properties of AlSi3 Cast Alloys

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates the impact of Ce and/or Mg on the electrical conductivity (EC) and mechanical properties of AlSi3 cast alloy. It highlights the synergistic effects of Ce and Mg on eutectic Si modification and Mg solute reduction in the Al matrix, resulting in the optimization of EC, strength, and ductility of the alloy.
