$^{6}_{\Lambda\Lambda}$He as a $\Lambda\Lambda$ interaction constraint

open access: yes, 1997
The Nijmegen OBE potential D is SU(3) rotated to model the strangeness -2 sector of the baryon-baryon force. Soft core repulsion is introduced to regularize the singular nature of the OBE functions. The strength of the $^1$S$_0$ $t=0$ interaction is adjusted to model three scenarios: (1) a bound state, (2) a narrow virtual, or antibound, state, and (3)

Influence of an Argon/Silane Atmosphere on the Temperature of a Thermal Plasma

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The influence of a silane‐doped argon atmosphere on the chemical composition and temperature of a thermal nontransferring argon plasma is investigated using optical emission spectroscopy. As a result of the high amount of free electrons resulting from the stepwise ionization and dissociation of the silane molecule, even a silane addition of 0.01 vol ...

The representation of oneself in political-narrative discourses: from lambda to ethos

open access: yesSigno y Seña, 2018
In this article we analyze, from a polyphonic and non-referential perspective of enunciation (Ducrot 1984), a set of political-narrative discourses, that is, micronarration where the political speaker talks about himself in the recent past.

Handbook of Establishing and Maintaining Oxygen‐Free Atmospheres

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a practical framework for creating oxygen‐free atmospheres at ambient pressure using silane‐doped inert gases. The results show that ultra‐low oxygen levels and strongly reduced water content can be achieved through controlled silane dosing, drying systems, and sensor monitoring.

Robustness with respect to exponents for nonautonomous reaction–diffusion equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2018
In this work we consider a family of nonautonomous problems with homogeneous Neumann boundary conditions and spatially variable exponents with equation of the form \begin{equation*} \frac{\partial u_{\lambda}}{\partial_t}(t)-\operatorname{div}\left(D(t)

Effect of Oxygen Content on Surface and Subsurface Integrity During Turning of Ti–6Al–4V

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study examines how oxygen content in the ambient atmosphere affects the surface and subsurface properties of Ti–6Al–4V during turning. Results show that oxygen does not influence surface roughness. However, machining in an extremely high vacuum‐adequate atmosphere increases surface hardness by up to 7.8% and induces compressive residual stresses ...

Considerations of Physical Design and Implementation for 5 MHz-100 W LLC Resonant DC-DC Converters

open access: yesActive and Passive Electronic Components, 2016
Recently, high power-density, high power-efficiency, and wide regulation range isolated DC-DC converters have been required. This paper presents considerations of physical design and implementation for wide regulation range MHz-level LLC resonant DC-DC ...

Oxide‐Free Titanium Coatings by Wire Arc Spraying in a Silane‐Doped Inert Atmosphere

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A silane‐doped argon atmosphere enables the production of oxide‐free titanium coatings via twin‐wire arc spraying at ambient pressure. This innovative approach eliminates residual oxygen, creating process conditions that prevent oxidation and nitride formation.

Application of Raman and Photoluminescence Spectroscopy to MgO‐C Refractories

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Visible to near infrared luminescence of MgO is studied on MgO‐C bricks and nominally pure MgO powder, with focus on two similar sharp high‐intensity signals, at 699 and 871 nm, each surrounded by symmetrical sidebands. The nature of these sidebands is investigated by temperature‐dependent spectroscopic measurements, confirming phonon involvement by ...
