Protein chainmail variants in dsDNA viruses

open access: yesAIMS Biophysics, 2015
First discovered in bacteriophage HK97, biological chainmail is a highly stable system formed by concatenated protein rings. Each subunit of the ring contains the HK97-like fold, which is characterized by its submarine-like shape with a 5-stranded β ...

Design of Broadband Double-Ridge Horn Antenna for Millimeter-Wave Applications

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
In this paper, a broadband double-ridge horn antenna (DRHA) covering 5G millimeter-wave (mm-wave) band is proposed, which maintains stable radiation pattern and gain in the entire band.

Impact of Roads on Environmental Protected Areas: Analysis and Comparison of Metrics for Assessing Habitat Fragmentation

open access: yesLand, 2022
The present study focuses on evaluating the effect of fragmentation caused by road infrastructures on a territory with singular characteristics such as low population density and a high proportion of its surface area protected by the Natura 2000 network.

Faddeev calculations for the A=5,6 Lambda-Lambda hypernuclei [PDF]

open access: yesPhys.Rev. C68 (2003) 024002, 2003
Faddev calculations are reported for Lambda-Lambda-5H, Lambda-Lambda-5He and Lambda-Lambda-6He in terms of two Lambda hyperons plus the respective nuclear clusters, using Lambda-Lambda central potentials considered in past non-Faddeev calculations of Lambda-Lambda-6He.

Faddeev-Yakubovsky calculations for light Lambda-Lambda hypernuclei [PDF]

open access: yesNucl.Phys. A707 (2002) 491-509, 2002
New Faddeev-Yakubovsky calculations are reported for Lambda-Lambda-6He and Lambda-Lambda-10Be in terms of clusters of alpha's and Lambda's, using Lambda-Lambda s-wave potentials motivated by several of the Nijmegen model interactions. The self consistency of the Lambda-Lambda hypernuclear world data for these species is discussed.

Dear Lambda [PDF]

open access: yesFundamenta Mathematicae, vol. 250 (2), pp. 101-115, 2020, 2018
We prove the consistency of $\mathfrak{r}_\lambda<\mathfrak{d}_\lambda$ and even $\mathfrak{u}_\lambda<\mathfrak{d}_\lambda$ for a singular cardinal $\lambda$.
