On the vanishing of Hochschild cohomology $H\{1}(\lambda,\lambda \otimes \lambda)$ for a local algebra $\lambda$

open access: yesTsukuba Journal of Mathematics, 1992
Throughout this paper we assume that \(\Lambda\) is a finite dimensional local algebra over an algebraically closed field \(K\). By considering certain subgroups of the Hochschild cohomology groups of the \(\Lambda\)-bimodule \(\Lambda \otimes \Lambda\) for a generalized biserial commutative algebra \(\Lambda\) the author proved [in J. Algebra 154, No.

Data‐driven discovery of gene expression markers distinguishing pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia subtypes

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study investigates gene expression differences between two major pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) subtypes, B‐cell precursor ALL, and T‐cell ALL, using a data‐driven approach consisting of biostatistics and machine learning methods. Following analysis of a discovery dataset, we find a set of 14 expression markers differentiating the ...

Double $\Lambda$ Hypernuclei and the Nuclear Medium Effective $\Lambda\Lambda$ Interaction

open access: yes, 1998
We fit the $^1 S_0 \Lambda\Lambda$ interaction in the nuclear medium to the masses of the experimentally known double-$\Lambda$ hypernuclei: $^{\phantom{6}6}_{\Lambda\Lambda}$He, $^{10}_{\Lambda\Lambda}$Be and $^{13}_{\Lambda\Lambda}$B.

A dual graph construction for higher-rank graphs, and $K$-theory for finite 2-graphs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Given a $k$-graph $\Lambda$ and an element $p$ of $\NN^k$, we define the dual $k$-graph, $p\Lambda$. We show that when $\Lambda$ is row-finite and has no sources, the $C^*$-algebras $C^*(\Lambda)$ and $C^*(p\Lambda)$ coincide.

Exploring the role of cyclin D1 in the pathogenesis of multiple myeloma beyond cell cycle regulation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cyclin D1 overexpression altered the cell adhesion pathway, while cyclin D2 upregulation had less impact on pathway enrichment analysis. Multiple myeloma (MM) patients with cyclin D1 overexpression showed reduced CD56 expression and increased circulating tumor cells (CTC) levels, suggesting that cyclin D1 may contribute to MM cell dissemination ...

Morphometry of Superior Sagittal Sinus and Its Clinical Significance

open access: yesIndian Journal of Neurosurgery
The position of the superior sagittal sinus (SSS) in the midline along the sagittal suture is still a debate among neurosurgeons. The aim of the study is to evaluate the diameter and deviation of the SSS at various landmarks in the midline.

Type-III interferons and rheumatoid arthritis: Correlation between interferon lambda 1 (interleukin 29) and antimutated citrullinated vimentin antibody levels

open access: yesAutoimmunity, 2017
Aim: To assess serum type III or lambda (λ) interferons (IFN) levels and its clinical and laboratory associations in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Methods: A cross-sectional study including 43 patients with RA (86% females; age 45.3 ± 10.3 years) and 43 ...

Development of a Diesel Engine Thermal Overload Monitoring System with Applications and Test Results

open access: yesEnergies, 2017
In this research, the development of a diesel engine thermal overload monitoring system is presented with applications and test results. The designed diesel engine thermal overload monitoring system consists of two set of sensors, i.e., a lambda sensor ...

The Safe Lambda Calculus [PDF]

open access: yesLogical Methods in Computer Science, 2007
Safety is a syntactic condition of higher-order grammars that constrains occurrences of variables in the production rules according to their type-theoretic order. In this paper, we introduce the safe lambda calculus, which is obtained by transposing (and generalizing) the safety condition to the setting of the simply-typed lambda calculus.

Menthol‐like cooling compounds, including (R)‐(‐)‐carvone, inhibit the human bitter taste receptors for saccharin and acesulfame K

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We report that some menthol‐like cooling compounds, including (R)‐(‐)‐carvone, act as inhibitors of TAS2R31 and TAS2R43, which are taste receptors responsible for the intrinsic bitter aftertastes of saccharin and acesulfame K. However, there was little correlation between the intensity of the cooling sensation and the potency of bitterness inhibition ...
