Sustainable Materials Design With Multi‐Modal Artificial Intelligence
Critical mineral scarcity, high embodied carbon, and persistent pollution from materials processing intensify the need for sustainable materials design. This review frames the problem as multi‐objective optimization under heterogeneous, high‐dimensional evidence and highlights multi‐modal AI as an enabling pathway.

Lameness and foot lesions in Swiss dairy cows: I. Prevalence.
Prevalences of foot lesions and lameness were recorded in 1'449 Swiss dairy cows during routine claw-trimming on 78 farms from June 2010 until February 2011. Lameness was present in 14.8 % of cows and on 80.8 % of investigated farms.

We read with interest the recent article suggesting a new approach to reduce lameness in sheep, by advocating the use of antibiotics over foot trimming for lame sheep ( VR , June 10, 2017, vol 180, p 555). We do not have evidence …

ABSTRACT Methane's efficient catalytic removal is vital for sustainable development. Bimetallic catalysts, though promising for methane activation, pose a design challenge due to their complex compositional space. This work introduces an integrated framework that combines high‐throughput density functional theory (DFT) and interpretable machine ...

Lameness — preventative management strategies
Sheep lameness is a widespread health issue affecting most flocks within the UK. The authors consider that flock levels above 2% are significant in terms of production losses and challenges with control.

Lameness detection and scoring
Enting concluded lameness, from an economic perspective, as the third most costly health disease, following mastitis and reproductive failure issues, in cattle units. Archer estimated the incidence rate of lameness in the United Kingdom cattle herds roughly 50 cases/100 cows in a year; nevertheless, due to poor correlation between incidence rates and ...

Blue‐Emitting ZnSe(Te) Quantum Dots and Light‐Emitting Diodes
. ABSTRACT Zn‐based quantum dots (QDs) have been regarded as the most promising Cd‐free candidates for blue‐emitting applications. ZnSe QDs exhibit an ultra‐narrow full width at half maximum (FWHM), high photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY), and excellent environmental stability, making them ideal for blue‐violet emitters.

Influence of the housing system on lameness prevalence in organic dairy farming
It was the aim of this study to assess the health status regarding lameness in organic dairy farming in Germany. For this purpose, a representative cross-sectional sample of 53 commercial organic dairy herds was investigated using locomotion scoring for ...
