Seasonal variation in wild pig (Sus scrofa) diet revealed by DNA metabarcoding
Wildlife Society Bulletin, EarlyView.Using DNA metabarcoding of fecal samples, we investigated the diet of wild pigs at an extensive bottomland hardwood forest ecosystem within Felsenthal National Wildlife Refuge in Southern Arkansas. We found that wild pig diet was highly diverse and included at least 74 plant families and 106 genera and 23 species of vertebrates.

A New Experimental Setup to Study the Olfactory Behaviour of Trichogramma Egg Parasitoids
Entomologia Experimentalis et Applicata, EarlyView.We developed an experimental setup to assess odor‐induced egg‐laying behavior in tiny egg‐parasitoid wasps. This Y‐shaped olfactometer, coupled with an AI‐based image‐recognition model, automatically quantifies egg parasitism by Trichogramma wasps. Olfactory‐driven egg‐laying preferences were analyzed using Bayesian inference.

Year‐round pollinator visitation of ornamental plants in Mediterranean urban parks
Insect Conservation and Diversity, EarlyView.Pollinators visiting ornamental plants in urban parks remained diverse throughout the year. They were represented by wild bees (42%), honeybees (37%), flies (18%), butterflies (2%) and beetles (1%). Both native and non‐native plants attracted pollinators.
