Perianth phyllotaxis and symmetry in Lamiales
Botany LettersGenetic studies of floral development have essentially focused on events within the floral meristem. By contrast, phyllotaxis models have shown that sepal arrangement is determined by the structure of the inflorescence.

Plant Systematics and Evolution, 2020
The familial placements of Cyrtandromoea Zoll. and Wightia Wall., two small and enigmatic South‐East Asian genera, have long been controversial in Lamiales. Here we adopt a two‐step approach to resolve their phylogenetic relationships.

Plant Physiology
Lamiales is an order of core eudicots with abundant diversity, and many Lamiales plants have important medicinal and ornamental values. Here, we comparatively reanalyzed 11 Lamiales species with well-assembled genome sequences and found evidence that ...

Evolution of Carnivory in Lentibulariaceae and the Lamiales
Plant Biology, 2004Abstract: As a basis for analysing the evolution of the carnivorous syndrome in Lentibulariaceae (Lamiales), phylogenetic reconstructions were conducted based on coding and non‐coding chloroplast DNA (matK gene and flanking trnK intron sequences, totalling about 2.4 kb).

First report of chromosome numbers of the Carlemanniaceae (Lamiales)
Journal of Plant Research, 2007The Carlemanniaceae comprises two small genera that are restricted to East Asia: the Carlemannia and Silvianthus. These genera were previously placed in the Rubiaceae or Caprifoliaceae, but are now considered a distinct family that is probably related to the Oleaceae in the Lamiales.
