This review provides a bottom‐up evaluation of sodium‐ion battery safety, linking material degradation mechanisms, cell engineering parameters, and module/pack assembly. It emphasizes that understanding intrinsic material stability and establishing coordinated engineering control across hierarchical levels are vital for preventing degradation coupling ...

FEC and sulfone‐based co‐solvents are investigated as EC‐free electrolytes for LNMO∥LTO cells. FEC‐containing electrolytes demonstrate enhanced electrochemical stability by stabilizing the CEI and SEI layers, mitigating transition metal migration. Conversely, sulfone electrolytes form thinner CEIs and thick, sulfur‐rich SEIs, which are less effective ...

Numerical study of laminar flame speed of fuel-stratified hydrogen/air flames [PDF]
Abstract Numerical studies on hydrogen/air stratified flames in 1-D planar coordinate are performed using a time-accurate and space-adaptive numerical solver A-SURF. A step change in equivalence ratio is initialized as fuel stratification. Flame characterizations including fuel consumption speed and flame front propagation speed are compared between ...

Modelling of continuous low‐temperature emulsion co‐polymerization in 3D‐printed reactor
A kinetic model for the emulsion copolymerization of butyl acrylate/styrene at low temperatures is proposed and validated against experiments with a redox initiator system. The model was successfully transferred to a 3D‐printed tubular reactor and conversions of more than 80% and small particles sizes below 40 nm were observed.

The Thermonuclear Explosion Of Chandrasekhar Mass White Dwarfs [PDF]
The flame born in the deep interior of a white dwarf that becomes a Type Ia supernova is subject to several instabilities. We briefly review these instabilities and the corresponding flame acceleration. We discuss the conditions necessary for each of the

The dense PPS‐separator prevents thermal runaway by allowing electron transfer through the steel needle during penetration, while the residual electrolyte enables brief ion migration and Joule heating, causing rapid electrolyte vaporization, collapse of the ion transport network, and a sharp drop in ionic conductivity.

Model Flames in the Boussinesq Limit: The Effects of Feedback [PDF]
We have studied the fully nonlinear behavior of pre-mixed flames in a gravitationally stratified medium, subject to the Boussinesq approximation. Key results include the establishment of criterion for when such flames propagate as simple planar flames ...
