Sustainable Solar Module Through the Substitution of Materials by Renewable Encapsulation, Recycled Backsheet, and Lead‐Free Interconnection

open access: yesProgress in Photovoltaics: Research and Applications, Volume 34, Issue 1, Page 3-17, January 2026.
This study shows a path to greater sustainability in PV module materials that have passed the IEC 61730 and IEC 61215 test procedures. A lead‐free ECA solar cell connection, EVA based on 60% renewable raw materials, and a backsheet made from 30% recycled PET show no weaknesses compared with lead solder and petroleum‐based polymers.

A 20 kA Test Bench for High-Precision Current Measurements [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
The d.c. currents in the LHC dipole and quadrupole chains will require settings and adjustments with a precision of a few ppm. For an ultimate current level of 13 kA this represents an unprecedented accuracy.

Digital Twin of an Electrical Insulation System: Data Communication, Predictive Models and Health Condition

open access: yesDigital Twins and Applications, Volume 3, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
Life and reliability models, potentially able to account for any type of stress, even time varying, are developed and their integration in a digital twin is discussed. Algorithms for the dynamic assessment of insulation health condition through diagnostic testing or monitoring, are developed.

Magnetic‐Thermal Coupling Analysis of the End Region of a Large Steam Turbine Generator in the Phase Advancing State Based on the Improved TSO and SVR Regression Models

open access: yesIET Electric Power Applications, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
In this study, we have developed a 3D magnetic‐thermal simulation model of a 320 MVA steam turbine generator. We explore the significant impact of the armature reaction in the phase advancing state, which leads to increased leakage magnetic fields and fluctuations in the stator end magnetic field.

Study of the Overvoltage and Its Distribution Characteristics in an Oil‐Immersed Iron‐Core Reactor Disconnected by an SF6 Circuit Breaker

open access: yesIET Electric Power Applications, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This paper primarily investigates the patterns of overvoltage changes during an interruption of oil‐immersed iron‐core reactors by circuit breakers and their distribution along the axial windings of the reactor, which optimises the winding structure. ABSTRACT This paper primarily investigates the patterns of overvoltage changes during an interruption ...
