Properties of Laminated Veneer Lumbers from Oil Palm Trunks
Oil palm trunks found in abundant and considered as an agriculture waste were investigated as alternative to dimensional wood. The trunks are of no economic importance in their natural form. However, once converted into the form of Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL) their properties improved tremendously.

ABSTRACT Understanding the dynamic behavior of structural components is crucial for optimizing performance and ensuring structural integrity. This study presents a new method that combines a systematic experimental investigation of four distinct hole geometries (circular, square, compact rectangular, and long rectangular) with varying hole counts, all ...

Eucalyptus nitens Laminated Veneer Lumber

Made in the shade: Leaf responses of native wildflowers to single‐axis photovoltaic solar energy
As solar energy expands globally, balancing renewable power generation with biodiversity and ecosystem health has become an urgent challenge. This study investigated how native wildflowers respond at leaf level to the unique microclimates created by rotating solar panels in California's Central Valley.

Relation of Bulk‐to‐Shear Loss Factors in Viscoelastic Auxetic Metamaterials
This article examines the dynamic behavior of isotropic auxetic viscoelastic materials, highlighting how negative Poisson's ratios affect energy dissipation, damping, and the interplay between bulk and shear moduli. By extending established viscoelastic theories to the auxetic range, it defines bound limits and underscores how dynamic Poisson's ratio ...
