Peltier Thermo-Electric Generator based Standalone Micro-Power Supply System

International Conference Electrical Energy Systems, 2021
After these many years, electricity has still not reached the remote areas of the world. Efforts are being made in this direction to develop standalone power supply systems using renewable and non-conventional power generation techniques. Thermo-electric

Performance of General Lighting Service Lamps

3rd IET International Conference on Clean Energy and Technology (CEAT) 2014, 2014
The power crisis problem is getting worst in the developing countries. Steps are being taken to overcome the problem by managing the available power. Replacement of energy inefficient lamps with energy efficient lamps is also among these steps. This paper presents a comparative analysis between General Lighting Service (GLS) lamps, use for producing ...

Dislocation Generation and Propagation during Flash Lamp Annealing

ECS Journal of Solid State Science and Technology, 2015
Dislocation generation and propagation during flash lamp annealing for 20 ms was investigated using wafers with sawed, ground, and etched surfaces. Due to the thermal stress resulting from the temperature profiles generated by the flash pre-existing dislocations propagate into the wafer from both surfaces during flash lamp annealing. A dislocation free

Flashing and sound generating lamp

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1980
A flashing and sound generating lamp that repeats on-off operation and generates a characteristic audible sound when an electric current is supplied to the lamp. The lamp comprises a thermally bendable member connected in series or in parallel with the lamp filament to effect on-off energization of the filament as a result of the bending of the member ...

A pulse generator for xenon lamps

Radiation Physics and Chemistry, 2002
Abstract A pulse generator is described, which enhances the analyzing light emitted from a xenon lamp as used in kinetic photospectrometry experiments. The lamp current is increased to 600 A for a duration of 3 ms; the current is constant within ±0.2% during a time interval of 2 ms.

Philips' 2nd generation Novallure LED candle lamp

SPIE Proceedings, 2010
Finding an energy efficient replacement of incandescent candle lamp has been a technical challenge. Compact fluorescent lamps, for example, can be miniaturized to fit the form factor of a candle lamp but they fail to reproduce its "sparkle" effect.

Generalized lamp model for light flicker studies

Electric Power Systems Research, 2018
Abstract A new generalized lamp model capable of simulating a lamp’s luminous flux in the time domain is presented. Reference is made to low power lamps (up to 25 W). The generalized lamp model consists of a model of the electrical circuit of the lamp and a model of the bulb itself and is based on the use of only three input parameters.
