ABSTRACT Heavy metal (HM) contamination of soil–plant systems poses persistent ecological and health risks, driving interest in nanoparticle‐based remediation. Although conventional chemically synthesized nanoparticles (CSNPs) are effective, their energy‐intensive production and residual toxicity limit sustainable deployment.

TPET‐F2CN CMP exhibited higher CO2 uptake (2.88 mmol g−1 at 273 K) and superior Rhd B adsorption, with an equilibrium capacity of 98.12 mg g−1 and a maximum monolayer capacity of 155.6 mg g−1. ABSTRACT Herein, two conjugated microporous polymers (CMPs), TPET‐FO and TPET‐F2CN, are functionalized with carbonyl and nitrile groups.

Chitosan as a lipid binder: a langmuir monolayer study of chitosan-lipid interactions.
Owing to its distinct chemico-biological properties, chitosan, a cationic biopolymer, offers a great potential in multifarious bioapplications. One such application is as a dietary antilipidemic supplement to be used to reduce obesity/overweight and to ...

Magnetic alginate beads, functionalized with copper ferrite, effectively remove 17‐β‐estradiol from Amazonian water, exhibiting optimized 238.65 μg g−1 capacity, fast 40 min kinetics, easy recovery, and successful remediation. Abstract The presence of endocrine‐disrupting compounds, such as 17‐β‐estradiol, in aquatic ecosystems poses a significant ...

The langmuir isotherm adsorption equation: The monolayer approach
Langmuir adsorption isotherm equation is generally derived using the kinetics approach and based on some assumptions. These assumptions are usually not accompanied by an adequate explanation related with the mechanisms and the determination techniques of

Sulfonated polystyrene films with different degrees of sulfonation were fabricated using Langmuir–Schaefer and drop‐casting techniques. Both the deposition method and sulfonation level strongly affect film morphology and electrical response, governing the performance of these materials as ammonia gas sensors.
