Oligothiophene-based monolayer field-effect transistors prepared by Langmuir-Blodgett technique

Applied Physics Letters, 2013
Quinquethiophene-based monolayer organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) prepared by Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) technique show hole mobilities up to 10−2 cm2/Vs and On/Off ratios up to 106. Functional logic LB monolayer devices operating in air have been demonstrated.

A Novel Glucose Sensor with a Glucose Oxidase Monolayer Immobilized by the Langmuir–Blodgett Technique

Chemistry Letters, 1988
Abstract A monomolecular layer of glucose oxidase (GOD) was immobilized on an SnO2 electrode via glutaraldehyde-bridged covalent bonding of GOD to the amino moieties of an octadecylamine Langmuir–Blodgett film. The performance of the electrode as an amperometric glucose sensor was investigated.

Monolayer immobilization of bacteriorhodopsin on modified polycarbonate surface by using of Langmuir-Blodgett technique

Macromolecular Research, 2017
Bacteriorhodopsin (BR) has emerged as an important material for constructing data storage devices due to its unique properties. In this study, BR has been immobilized on modified polycarbonate (PC) surface of compact disk (CD) by using of Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) method. UV/Ozone treatment was used to amplify the immobilization of BR on PC surface.

[Study of P-glycoprotein effect on the lipid monolayer properties by the Langmuir-Blodgett technique].

Biofizika, 2002
Expression of the P-glycoprotein (Pgp) is proved to be one of the main reasons for the development of the multidrug resistance (MDR) phenotype by cancer cells. The effect of Pgp on the properties of lipid monolayers was studied using membrane fractions of sensitive and Pgp over-expressing multidrug resistance cancer cells containing 11, 24 or 32% of ...

Characterization of poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) (PHEMA) contact lens using the Langmuir monolayer technique

Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 2012
The behavior of poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) (PHEMA) polymer monolayer spread on water was studied under various experimental conditions. The influence of subphase pH and temperature, compression speed, elapsed time from the deposit of the monolayer and the recording of the surface pressure-area (π-A) isotherms, as well as the number of polymer ...

Study of the monolayer structure and wettability properties of silica nanoparticles and CTAB using the Langmuir trough technique

Colloids and Surfaces A: Physicochemical and Engineering Aspects, 2011
This study is focused on understanding how the combination of silica nanoparticles with a cationic surfactant (CTAB) may lead to the formation of different solid-like structures at the water/air interface. In fact, the adsorption of CTAB onto the solid particles' surface changes their hydrophilic/lipophilic state which becomes more hydrophobic with ...

The behavior of the adsorption of cytochrome C on lipid monolayers: A study by the Langmuir–Blodgett technique and theoretical analysis

Biophysical Chemistry, 2015
Cytochrome c (Cyt c) is an essential component of the inner mitochondrial respiratory chain because of its function of transferring electrons. The feature is closely related to the interaction between Cyt c and membrane lipids. We used Langmuir-Blodgett monolayer technique combined with AFM to study the interaction of Cyt c with lipid monolayers at air-

Preparation of a Vast CoFe2O4 Magnetic Monolayer by Langmuir−Blodgett Technique

The Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2005
The preparation of ultrathin films of CoFe2O4 nanocrystallites is reported. TEM images of them showed 2-dimensional assembly of particles, demonstrating the uniformity of these nanocrystallites. The formation of a Langmuir monolayer of the surface coated CoFe2O4 nanocrystallites with oleate at the air/water interface and its stability were studied with

Structural Properties of Monolayers and Langmuir-Blodgett Films by X-Ray Scattering Techniques

1995
Interdisciplinary research related to molecular electronics is directed towards bringing the miniaturisation of electronic devices, to its extreme limit i.e. to the molecular scale. As a consequence, the different investigations related to chemical synthesis, supramolecular assembly and the characterization of the development units for future ...
