The theory for an asymmetric Langmuir probe is developed for the case of a collisionless streaming high-density (ai>Rp>30λd) plasma with Ti<Te. The results are used to analyze the response of the probe to a mildly turbulent drifting plasma.

Langmuir probe without RF compensation
Plasma Sources Science and Technology, 2022Abstract Langmuir probes with RF compensation are used for measurements of electron concentration, electron temperature and the DC value of plasma potential in RF discharges. In order to obtain all the RF components of plasma potential, simple probes without RF compensation are used.
