Super‐Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE) in a Patient With Compound Heterozygous OPA1 Variants: Case Report and Literature Review

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Super‐Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE) is a rare, life‐threatening neurological emergency with unclear etiology in many cases. Mitochondrial dysfunction, often due to disease‐causing genetic variants, is increasingly recognized as a cause, with each gene producing distinct pathophysiological mechanisms.

A few things about normativisation of the Aragonese

open access: yesRevista de Filología Románica, 2017
In recent decades, there has been a debate over the Aragonese standardization that has become more intense with the approval of the Aragon languages law in 2009, and its amendment in 2013. Thus, a stance considers that linguistic policy should be carried

Modeling Global Syntactic Variation in English Using Dialect Classification [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
This paper evaluates global-scale dialect identification for 14 national varieties of English as a means for studying syntactic variation. The paper makes three main contributions: (i) introducing data-driven language mapping as a method for selecting ...

Variably Protease‐Sensitive Prionopathy: Two New Cases With Motor Neuron‐Dementia Syndrome

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We describe two patients with variably protease‐sensitive prionopathy (VPSPr) who developed progressive upper motor neuron symptoms, insomnia, behavioral and cognitive decline, compatible with primary lateral sclerosis associated with frontotemporal dementia (FTD).

LANGUAGE CHANGES, APPROXIMATIVE VARIETIES AND TRANSLATION

open access: yesBelas Infiéis, 2016
From the media and communicative demands in a globalized context comes the need of using loan words for interaction and entertainment purposes. Using approximative varieties makes the languages to diachronically undergo changes in their syntactic ...

Varieties of Data Languages

open access: yes, 2019
We establish an Eilenberg-type correspondence for data languages, i.e. languages over an infinite alphabet. More precisely, we prove that there is a bijective correspondence between varieties of languages recognized by orbit-finite nominal monoids and pseudovarieties of such monoids. This is the first result of this kind for data languages.

A construction of integrated vertex operator in the pure spinor sigma-model in AdS5xS5

open access: yes, 2013
Vertex operators in string theory come in two varieties: integrated and unintegrated. Understanding both types is important for the calculation of the string theory amplitudes.

Complementarity of Long‐Reads and Optical Mapping in Parkinson's Disease for Structural Variants

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Long‐read sequencing and optical genome mapping technologies have the ability to detect large and complex structural variants. This has led to the discovery of novel pathogenic variants in neurodegenerative movement disorders. Thus, we aimed to systematically compare the SV detection capabilities of OGM and ONT in Parkinson's disease.

Baseline Regional Cholinergic Denervation Predicts Cognitive Trajectories in Moderate Parkinson Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Cognitive decline is a disabling and variable feature of Parkinson disease (PD). While cholinergic system degeneration is linked to cognitive impairments in PD, most prior research reported cross‐sectional associations. We aimed to fill this gap by investigating whether baseline regional cerebral vesicular acetylcholine transporter ...
