Isolation and partial purification of lantana (Lantana camara L.) toxins
Toxicology Letters, 1987A partially purified toxin fraction and lantadene A were obtained from Lantana camara L. leaves by batch extraction, column chromatography and fractional crystallization. Toxicity was tested in guinea pigs. The total number of chemical entities in the partially purified toxin preparation was 7, the 2 major ones being lantadene A and lantadene B ...

Herbicidal Control of Largeleaf Lantana (Lantana camara)
Weed Technology, 2012Largeleaf lantana is a perennial shrub that commonly infests pastures, roadsides, and natural areas. Many experiments have been conducted to manage this weed, but few successful herbicides have been found. Little information is available for the effectiveness of fluroxypyr, aminopyralid, or aminocyclopyrachlor on largeleaf lantana.

Lantana camara L. (Verbenaceae)
Fitoterapia, 2000Lantana camara L. is regarded both as a notorious weed and a popular ornamental garden plant and has found various uses in folk medicine in many parts of the world. Some taxa of the widely variable L. camara complex are toxic to small ruminants and this effect has been associated with the types and relative amounts of some triterpene ester metabolites.
