Urban rendezvous: Spatiotemporal overlap is more important than abundance and trait matching for urban plant–pollinator interactions

open access: yesJournal of Applied Ecology, Volume 63, Issue 1, January 2026.
Our study shows that the generalized structure of urban plant–pollinator interactions is mirrored in the mechanisms that shape them, as interactions are governed primarily by less restrictive drivers such as abundance and spatiotemporal overlap rather than by trait matching.

SUMMARY OF SHEEPDROVE ORGANIC FARM SILVO-POULTRY PRODUCTION SYSTEM [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Sheepdrove Organic Farm (SOF) introduced a silvo-poultry enterprise in 2002. This report describes the system as observed by Vanessa Pegg and makes recommendations for improvements to the system.

Application of Plant‐Derived Silver Nanoparticles for Control of Economically Important Bacterial Plant Pathogens

open access: yesPlant Pathology, Volume 75, Issue 1, January/February 2026.
The obtained through green synthesis nanoparticles—AgNPs can be used for control of the important plant pathogenic bacteria. ABSTRACT Plant‐pathogenic bacteria pose a serious threat to crop production, and although several methods have been established, preventive strategies remain the most widely applied.

Valorization of Waste Grape Pomace: Effects on Growth, Flowering, and Leaf Nutrient Content of Dahlia variabilis sp. “Figaro” Violet

open access: yesJournal of Chemistry, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Composting is a sustainable method widely used in the evaluation of organic wastes, and stabilized soil amendments and growing media can be obtained by this method. In this study, the effects of compost obtained from grape pomace on the growth and development of Dahlia variabilis “Figaro Violet” were investigated by adding 20% and 40% to the growing ...

Application of plant extracts as inducers to challenge leaf rust of wheat

open access: yesEgyptian Journal of Biological Pest Control, 2019
Five plant extracts, i.e., henna, Lawsonia inermis; acalypha, Acalypha wilkesiana; chinaberry, Melia azedarach; pomegranate, Punica granatum; and lantana, Lantana camara, were tested as inducers to protect wheat against leaf rust infection caused by ...

A survey of selected coastal vegetation communities of Florida [PDF]

open access: yes, 1977
A survey of coastal vegetation around Florida was conducted during 1973 and 1974. Seventeen sites were selected and sampled using the transect method to determine species occurrence, relative densities, and habitat development and structure.

Complementary Strategies of Hydraulic Variability and Conservative Stomatal Regulation Enable Widespread Distributions in a Heterogeneous Karst Landscape

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 12, December 2025.
Steep water‐soil gradients in karst create niche differentiation, yet how widespread trees span microhabitats remains unclear. Along a moisture gradient, Delavaya toxocarpa and Tirpitzia ovoidea colonize xeric hilltops through high hydraulic trait variability that prioritizes hydraulic safety, whereas Litsea glutinosa depends on conservative stomatal ...
