Lanthanum Nitrate in a Smooth Muscle Membrane System

Cell and Tissue Research, 1974
Smooth muscle cells of the guinea-pig sphincter pupillae were fixed in the presence of 3% lanthanum nitrate. Although only small amounts of lanthanum were found in plasmalemmal vesicles, large deposits were present within a membrane system resembling sarcoplasmic reticulum.

The lanthanum nitrate test for acetate in inorganic qualitative analysis

open access: yesProceedings of the Indian Academy of Sciences - Section A, 1941
The lanthanum nitrate test for the acetate ion has been examined for use in the routine analysis of mixtures of inorganic substances including the acetate, oxalate and tartrate radicles. A distillation method for the preparation of the test solution and a modification of this procedure in the presence of sulphites and thiosulphates are described.

Effect of lanthanum nitrate on adipogenesis in mice

Journal of Applied Toxicology, 2023
AbstractLanthanum (La) is widely used in modern industry and agriculture because of its unique physicochemical properties and is broadly exposed in the population. Some studies have shown that La may have some effects on adipogenesis, but there is a lack of related in vivo evidence.

Electromembrane hydrolysis of cerium and lanthanum nitrates

Petroleum Chemistry, 2012
The results are presented of investigation of electromembrane hydrolysis of cerium and lanthanum nitrates in the cathode space of a two-compartment cell with an MA-41 anion-exchange membrane and the simultaneous recovery of nitric acid in the anolyte.
