Amperometric determination of thorium and lanthanum in presence of nitrate

Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry and Interfacial Electrochemistry, 1967
Abstract The reduction of nitrate ions in the presence of thorium, and lanthanum is utilized for the amperometric determination of these two metal ions. Thorium can be titrated with EDTA or benzenephosphonic acid at a voltage of −1.5 V vs S.C.E. Lanthanum titrations are carried out at the same voltage using EDTA as a titrant.

Polarization and relaxation of protons in irradiated lanthanum magnesium nitrate

Proceedings of the Physical Society, 1967
Measurements have been made of proton polarization, proton relaxation, and the shape, intensity and spin-lattice relaxation rate of an electron spin resonance line from damage centres, in a lanthanum magnesium nitrate target during a bombardment with 146 Mev protons. The damage centres exhibit an inhomogeneously broadened line centred on a g value of 2

Removal of Nitrate and Phosphate by Starch and Lanthanum Modified Montmorillonite

Global NEST Journal, 2022
<p>Unqualified treatment of the discharge of wastewater contains a large number of nitrogen and phosphorus and other nutrients, such wastewater into the water environment is easy to lead to eutrophication of water bodies, and cause harm to human health.

Deuterized cerium lanthanum magnesium nitrate as a magnetic thermometer

Journal of Low Temperature Physics, 1980
The substitution of deuterium for hydrogen in the water of crystallization of lanthanum-diluted cerium magnesium nitrate improves some of its thermometric characteristics. This paramagnetic salt makes it possible to measure lower temperatures, and the difference between the magnetic and absolute temperature is smaller.

Specific features of the structure of a lanthanum nitrate complex with ethylenediamine

Russian Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, 2007
Anhydrous lanthanum nitrate and its complexes with one and two ethylenediamine molecules are calculated by the ab initio B3LYP/LANL2DZ quantum-chemical method. An ethylenediamine molecule is shown to coordinate preferentially through one amino group, and a hydrogen bond is formed between the coordinated amino and nitrato groups.

Paramagnetic relaxation phenomena in nickel-lanthanum double nitrate

Physica, 1969
Abstract Paramagnetic relaxation phenomena in single crystals of Ni3La2(NO3)12·24H2O have been examined by measuring the susceptibility χ in the frequency range from 200 Hz to 1 MHz. At helium temperatures double relaxation has been observed.

Synthesis of lanthanum aluminate by thermal decomposition of hydrated nitrates

Ceramics International, 1997
Ultrafine lanthanum aluminate has been prepared by the thermal decomposition process. Corresponding metal nitrates were comelted and quenched at room temperature. The resulting mass was dehydrated and calcined at different temperatures. X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope, thermogravimetric and differential thermal analysis, and particle ...

Lanthanum-based perovskites obtained in molten nitrates or nitrites

Progress in Solid State Chemistry, 2007
Lanthanum-based perovskites, LaMO3 (where M = Mn, Fe, Co, Ni), have been synthesised from lanthanum precursors and corresponding 3d transition metal salts in molten alkali metal nitrates or nitrites. The reactivity of eight precursors in three molten salts of different basicity was analysed.

Ion flotation of lanthanum(III) and holmium(III) from nitrate and nitrate-chloride media

Russian Journal of Applied Chemistry, 2012
Ion flotation of lanthanum(III) and holmium(III) from nitrate and nitrate-chloride solutions with sodium dodecyl sulfate was studied. The distribution coefficients and their dependence on pH were determined.

Vibrational Spectra of Anhydrous Lanthanum, Europium, Gadolinium, and Dysprosium Nitrates and Oxinitrates

Helvetica Chimica Acta, 1978
AbstractIR. and Raman spectra of LnONO3 (50–4,000 cm−1, LnLa, Gd, Eu, and Dy) are reported and discussed. The low frequency region of the spectra reflects the cubic structure of these compounds. The dimensions of the cubic unit cells determined by X‐Ray powder diagrams are: 12.81 ± 0.05 Å for EuONO3, 12.69 ± 0.05 Å for GdONO3, and 12.67 ± 0.05 Å for ...
