Abstract A 6‐week‐old, female, British shorthair cat was presented with a 4‐week history of regurgitation and a 2‐day history of cough and dyspnoea. Thoracic radiographs revealed an alveolar pattern suggestive of pneumonia secondary to regurgitation, and antibiotic therapy was initiated. Abstract A 21‐month‐old, male poodle was referred for evaluation of acute lethargy, anorexia and hypovolaemic shock. Initial diagnostic work‐up revealed severe regenerative anaemia, thrombocytopenia and leukocytosis. Abdominal ultrasonography identified free fluid and a suspected mass, with haemoperitoneum confirmed via abdominocentesis.
