Limit Theorem for Spectra of Laplace Matrix of Random Graphs

open access: yesMathematics, 2023
We consider the limit of the empirical spectral distribution of Laplace matrices of generalized random graphs. Applying the Stieltjes transform method, we prove under general conditions that the limit spectral distribution of Laplace matrices converges ...

Freezing limits for Calogero–Moser–Sutherland particle models

open access: yesStudies in Applied Mathematics, Volume 151, Issue 4, Page 1230-1281, November 2023., 2023
Abstract One‐dimensional interacting particle models of Calogero–Moser–Sutherland type with N particles can be regarded as diffusion processes on suitable subsets of RN$\mathbb {R}^N$ like Weyl chambers and alcoves with second‐order differential operators as generators of the transition semigroups, where these operators are singular on the boundaries ...

The MAP/PH/N/∞ Queueing-Inventory System With Demands From a Random Environment

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
This study investigates a multi-server queueing-inventory system in a random environment. The system has an unlimited waiting space and an inventory capacity of $S$ units.

Logistic or not Logistic?

open access: yesStatistica Neerlandica, Volume 77, Issue 4, Page 429-443, November 2023., 2023
We propose a new class of goodness‐of‐fit tests for the logistic distribution based on a characterization related to the density approach in the context of Stein's method. This characterization‐based test is a first of its kind for the logistic distribution. The asymptotic null distribution of the test statistic is derived and it is shown that the test

Aspects of the screw function corresponding to the Riemann zeta‐function

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 108, Issue 4, Page 1448-1487, October 2023., 2023
Abstract We introduce a screw function corresponding to the Riemann zeta‐function and study its properties from various aspects. Typical results are several equivalent conditions for the Riemann hypothesis in terms of the screw function. One of them can be considered an analog of so‐called Weil's positivity or Li's criterion.

On Reliability of a Double Redundant Renewable System with a Generally Distributed Life and Repair Times

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
The paper provides reliability analysis of a cold double redundant renewable system assuming that both life-time and repair time distributions are arbitrary. The proposed approach is based on the theory of decomposable semi-regenerative processes.

Single–server queueing system with limited queue, random volume customers and unlimited sectorized memory buffer [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Polish Academy of Sciences: Technical Sciences, 2022
In the present paper, we analyze the model of a single–server queueing system with limited number of waiting positions, random volume customers and unlimited sectorized memory buffer.

Integrable equations associated with the finite‐temperature deformation of the discrete Bessel point process

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 108, Issue 1, Page 273-308, July 2023., 2023
Abstract We study the finite‐temperature deformation of the discrete Bessel point process. We show that its largest particle distribution satisfies a reduction of the 2D Toda equation, as well as a discrete version of the integro‐differential Painlevé II equation of Amir–Corwin–Quastel, and we compute initial conditions for the Poissonization parameter

The M/G/1 queueing model with preemptive random priorities [PDF]

open access: yesEAI Endorsed Transactions on Internet of Things, 2015
For the M/G/1 model, we look into a preemptive priority scheme in which the priority level is decided by a lottery. Such a scheme has no effect on the mean waiting time in the non-preemptive case (in comparison with the First Come First Served (FCFS ...

Characterization of Probability Distributions via Functional Equations of Power-Mixture Type

open access: yesMathematics, 2021
We study power-mixture type functional equations in terms of Laplace–Stieltjes transforms of probability distributions on the right half-line [0,∞).
