The Laplacian spectrum of graphs
In this thesis we investigate the spectrum of the Laplacian matrix of a graph. Although its use dates back to Kirchhoff, most of the major results are much more recent.

Starlike trees are determined by their Laplacian spectrum
In this paper, we show that if G is a starlike tree, then it is determined by its Laplacian spectrum.

On the Fucik spectrum of the Laplacian on a torus [PDF]
We study the Fucik spectrum of the Laplacian on a two-dimensional torus T(2). Exploiting the invariance properties of the domain T(2) with respect to translations we obtain a good description of large parts of the spectrum.

Developments on Spectral Characterizations of Graphs
In [E.R. van Dam and W.H. Haemers, Which graphs are determined by their spectrum?, Linear Algebra Appl. 373 (2003), 241-272] we gave a survey of answers to the question of which graphs are determined by the spectrum of some matrix associated to the graph.

Outer Approximation of the Spectrum of a Fractal Laplacian
The Neumann spectrum of a Laplacian on a fractal K in the plane is approximated as a renormalized limit of the Neumann spectra of the standard Laplacian on a sequence of domains which approximate K from the outside.

Trapped modes in a waveguide with a thick obstacle
The problem of finding necessary and sufficient condi-tions for the existence of trapped modes in waveguides has been known since 1943. [10]. The problem is the following: consider an infinite strip M in xs211D2(or an infinite cylinder with the smooth ...

Adjacency spectra and Laplacian integrality of zero divisor graphs over some rings
Let ð be a commutative ring and let ðâ (ð ) denote the set of non-zero zero divisors of ð . The zero divisor graph ð€(ð ) is defined as the simple graph with vertex set ðâ (ð ), where two distinct vertices ð¥, ðŠ â ðâ (ð ) are adjacent if and only if ð¥ðŠ = 0.

LAPLACIAN SPECTRUM AND ENERGY OF NON-COMMUTING GRAPHS OF FINITE RINGS [PDF]
We compute spectrum, energy, Laplacian spectrum/ energy and signless Laplacian spectrum/energy of non-commuting graphs of certain finite non-commutative rings. In particular, we consider finite rings $R$ such that $|R| = p^2, p^3, p^4$, $p^5$, $p^2q$ and

Exponential growth and the spectrum of the Laplacian
Conditions are given on a noncompact manifold which allow one to conclude that 0 is in the spectrum of the Laplacian on M M .
