Impact of latitudinal position and ice cover on wave and temperature dynamics in the Laptev Sea and the Sea of Okhotsk [PDF]
This study presents a comparative analysis of wave and temperature conditions in the Laptev Sea and the Sea of Okhotsk (Mordvinov Bay), based on long-term observations of the sea level and temperature fluctuations, which were obtained using autonomous ...

Prospects of hydrocarbon exploration in the Laptev sea basin
Background. The geological structure of the Laptev Sea basin is characterized by a rift nature, thus providing no favorable conditions for the presence of hydrocarbon accumulations. However, the lack of seismic information and the absence of well drilling indicate an incomplete stage of the basin exploration.Aim.

Distribution of the main taxa and dominant species of macrobentos in the seas of the East Arctic
Macrobenthos of soft bottoms on the shelf of two Arctic seas was investigated in the survey conducted aboard RV TINRO in August-September 2015. The area of 32,800 km2 in the depth range of 15–34 m was researched in the East Siberian Sea where 13 ...

228Ra and 226Ra in the Kara and Laptev Seas [PDF]
The surface water in the Transpolar Drift in the Arctic Ocean has a strong signature of 228Ra. In an earlier study of 228Ra in the open Arctic we showed that the major 228Ra source had to be in the Siberian shelf seas, but only a single shelf station was published so far.
