Programmable large-scale simulation of bosonic transport in optical synthetic frequency lattices
Nature Physics, 2022Photonic simulators using synthetic frequency dimensions have enabled flexible experimental analogues of condensed-matter systems. However, so far, such photonic simulators have been limited in scale, yielding results that suffer from finite-size effects.

Simulating Large-Scale 5G Networks
2021 IEEE 4th 5G World Forum (5GWF), 2021With the large scale deployment of 5G, more and more sophisticated applications will also be set out. In order to assess network performance, the networking behaviour of those applications should be evaluated beforehand, opening the need for 5G simulation.

Transportation Research Record, 2020
Transportation Network Companies (TNCs) have been steadily increasing the share of total trips in metropolitan areas across the world. Micro-modeling TNC operation is essential for large-scale transportation systems simulation.

A Large-scale Simulation Dataset: Boost the Detection Accuracy for Special Weather Conditions
IEEE International Joint Conference on Neural Network, 2020Object detection is a fundamental task for autonomous driving systems. One bottleneck hindering detection accuracy is a shortage of well-annotated image data.

Economical large scale simulation
2001 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man and Cybernetics. e-Systems and e-Man for Cybernetics in Cyberspace (Cat.No.01CH37236), 2002A long-standing reservoir simulation problem in petroleum engineering is history matching, where a reservoir simulator is "calibrated" in some way to model the reservoir under study. A correctly calibrated simulator can be used for reservoir characterization and provides a cost-effective way of obtaining essential information about the reservoir.

Large scale simulations of the hippocampus
IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Magazine, 1988Research aimed at developing a network model of the hippocampus based on electrophysiological and anatomical data is described. Simulations are used to examine the relationships between experiments on single cells and pairs of cells and experiments on populations of thousands of cells.
