Clinical Radiology, 1985The clinical and radiological features of acute large-bowel pseudo-obstruction occurring in 13 patients over a 7-year period are reviewed. Clinical features included atypical signs and symptoms of large-bowel obstruction and serious concomitant illness, including trauma in 10.

Mechanical Obstruction: Large Bowel Obstruction (LBO)
2019Large bowel obstruction constitutes 20% of all mechanical obstruction. Patients usually present with abdominal pain and distention as well as failure to pass stool or flatus. Its etiology is age-dependent with colonic cancer being the most common cause in adults.
