Singularizing successor cardinals by forcing
We exhibit models of set theory, using large cardinals and forcing, in which successor cardinals can be made singular by some “Namba-like” further set forcing, in most cases without collapsing cardinals below that successor cardinal.

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Σ1(X) and Π1(X) definability above large cardinals
I will talk about some results on the Sigma_1(X) and Pi_1(X) definability over H_{kappa^+} of pathological subsets of P(kappa), when there are large cardinals in V_kappa.

On the symbiosis between model-theoretic and set-theoretic properties of large cardinals [PDF]
We study some large cardinals in terms of reflection, establishing new connections between the model-theoretic and the set-theoretic ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

One of the numerous characterizations of a Ramsey cardinal κ involves the existence of certain types of elementary embeddings for transitive sets of size κ satisfying a large fragment of ZFC. We introduce new large cardinal axioms generalizing the Ramsey

Large Cardinals, Inner Models, and Determinacy:An Introductory Overview [PDF]
The interaction between large cardinals, determinacy of two-person perfect information games, and inner model theory has been a singularly powerful driving force in modern set theory during the last three decades.
