Large-deviation principles for connectable receivers in wireless networks [PDF]
We study large-deviation principles for a model of wireless networks consisting of Poisson point processes of transmitters and receivers, respectively.

ABSTRACT Background Establishing a comprehensive apheresis medicine program in a resource‐constrained setting presents significant structural, financial, and logistical challenges. Despite the growing clinical importance of apheresis services globally, published experience from sub‐Saharan Africa remains sparse.

Large deviation principles for Abelian monoids
Following work of Mehrdad and Zhu and of Liu, we prove a large deviation principle for a broad class of integer-valued additive functions defined over abelian monoids. As a corollary, we obtain a large deviation principle for a generalized form of the Erdős-Kac theorem due to Liu.

Large deviation probabilities for some rescaled superprocesses [PDF]
We consider a class of rescaled superprocesses and derive a full large deviation principle with a good convex rate functional defined on the measure state space.

THE LARGE DEVIATION PRINCIPLE FOR MEASURES WITH RANDOM WEIGHTS
In this paper, we study the problem of large deviations for measures with random weights. We are motivated by previous work dealing with the special case occuring in the statistical mechanics of the Bose gas. We study the problem in an abstract setting, isolating what is general from what is dependent on Bose statistics.

Large Deviation Principles for Hypersingular Riesz Gases [PDF]
We study $N$-particle systems in R^d whose interactions are governed by a hypersingular Riesz potential $|x-y|^{-s}$, $s>d$, and subject to an external field. We provide both macroscopic results as well as microscopic results in the limit as $N\to \infty$ for random point configurations with respect to the associated Gibbs measure at scaled inverse ...

ABSTRACT Background Chronic micro‐inflammation in patients with end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) is a significant driver of cardiovascular complications and diminished quality of life. While standard hemodialysis (SHD) effectively manages small‐molecule clearance, its ability to remove medium‐to‐large uremic toxins—the primary catalysts of systemic ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.
