Thinking and Methodological Suggestions of Empirical Research in the Development of Clinical Practice Guidelines [PDF]
There were many problems in the methodological theory of the formulation of clinical practice guidelines in in the real world situation, and the lack of consideration of the actual situation leads to the decline of the guidance for the formulation of ...

Slowly rotating neutron stars in scalar torsion theory
In this present paper, a slowly rotating stat is investigated in shift symmetric scalar torsion theory framework using a nondiagonal tetrad that gives an axially symmetric spacetime.

Pluripotential theory and convex bodies: large deviation principle [PDF]
We continue the study in a previous work in the setting of weighted pluripotential theory arising from polynomials associated to a convex body $P$ in $({\bf R}^+)^d$. Our goal is to establish a large deviation principle in this setting specifying the rate function in terms of $P-$pluripotential-theoretic notions.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Optimal investment and asymmetric risk for a large portfolio: a large deviations approach [PDF]
In this study, we propose a new method based on the large deviations theory to select an optimal investment for a large portfolio such that the risk, which is defined as the probability that the portfolio return underperforms an investable benchmark, is ...

Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

Modelling stem cell differentiation related processes—A practical overview for biologists
Stem cell differentiation is complex and difficult to control experimentally. This review introduces suitable computational modelling approaches that can support stem cell research, from mechanistic ODE and abstract models to multiscale and deep learning methods.

Large Deviation Principles for Posterior Distributions of the Normal Parameters [PDF]
Suppose that X1,X2,... are conditionally i.i.d. random variables with distribution Pθ given =θ,where is an unknown parameter. If Pθ is a normal distribution with mean θ and known variance σ2, and if the prior of is chosen from the conjugate family N(μ,

Parallel Algorithms and Probability of Large Deviation for Stochastic Convex Optimization Problems
We consider convex stochastic optimization problems under different assumptions on the properties of available stochastic subgradient. It is known that, if the value of the objective function is available, one can obtain, in parallel, several independent
