Multiring large-mode-area delivery fiber for high power
The study presents a novel design of multiring delivery fiber with large mode area for high power. Using a FiberCAD method, we investigated a fiber whose core is surrounded by alternative low- and high-index rings. Based on our calculation, the effective area is 400 μm2 at 1.08 μm, larger than the ~280 μm2 of conventional step-index fiber (20/400). The

Ultra-large mode area fibers for high power lasers
The most recent advances on ultra-large mode area fibers for high-power operation will be presented. Moreover, an approach to synthetize ultra-large mode area fibers that circumvents technical limitations by using multi-core fibers will be discussed.

Polarization-maintaining and single-mode large mode area pixelated Bragg fiber
Optics Letters, 2020This Letter reports on a large mode area pixelated Bragg fiber in which some high refractive index rods were replaced by boron-doped rods that allows polarization maintaining behavior while keeping single-mode behavior. The realized all-solid fiber has a core diameter of 35 µm.

We report a hybrid mode-locked fiber laser at 2.8 µm based on a large-mode-area Er:ZBLAN fiber. Reliable self-starting mode-locking is achieved via the combination of nonlinear polarization rotation and a semiconductor saturable absorber.
