On the largest prime factors of shifted semiprime numbers

A natural number $n$ is called semi-prime if it is a product of two primes or a square of a prime. We denote $\mathbb{P}_2$ the set of all semi-primes. Our goal is to prove that for fixed integer number $a$ and sufficiently large $x$ the largest prime factor of number $$ \prod_{\substack{n\in \mathbb{P}_2\\n\leq x}}(n+a) $$ exceeds $x^θ$, where $θ= 0.5-

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

E2A selectively regulates TGF‐β–induced apoptosis in KRAS‐mutant non‐small cell lung cancer

The largest prime factor of $n^{2}+1$ and improvements on subexponential $ABC$

We combine transcendental methods and the modular approaches to the $ABC$ conjecture to show that the largest prime factor of $n^2+1$ is at least of size $(\log_2 n)^2/\log_3n$ where $\log_k$ is the $k$-th iterate of the logarithm. On the largest prime factor of integers in short intervals II

The author sharpens a result of Baker and Harman (2009), showing that for sufficiently large $x$, the interval $[x, x+x^{\frac{1}{2}}]$ contains an integer with a prime factor larger than $x^{0.7437}$. Optimized bounds for multiple exponential sums and accurate numerical calculations are used for this improvement.

Pathogenic Neurofibromatosis type 1 gene variants in tumors of non‐NF1 patients and role of R1276

Somatic variants of the neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) gene occur across neoplasms without clinical manifestation of the disease NF1. We identified emerging somatic pathogenic NF1 variants and hotspots, for example, at the arginine finger 1276. Those missense variants provide fundamental information about neurofibromin's role in cancer.

ATP13A2 is involved in intracellular polyamine transport in lung epithelial cells

Spermidine transport in lung epithelial cells involves the polyamine transporter ATP13A2. Cell proliferation is associated with the upregulation of ATP13A2.
