dmrtb1 is involved in the testicular development in Larimichthys crocea
Reproduction, 2023In brief dmrtb1 performs critical functions in sex determination/differentiation and gonadal development in many organisms, but its role in teleost is rarely studied. Through gene cloning, in situ hybridization, and RNA interference technology, the function of dmrtb1 in testicular development of large yellow croaker (Larimichthys crocea) was studied ...

Characterization of ghrelin mRNA expression in fasting Larimichthys crocea juveniles
Acta Oceanologica Sinica, 2021Larimichthys crocea is a marine fish species cultured in China. Short-term starvation is often applied to improve the quality of cultured L. crocea, and the expression of ghrelin in tissues of stomach, muscle, brain, intestines, liver, and kidney, involved in starvation response, under starvation conditions were studied to understand the effect of ...

Development of molecular detection kit for Larimichthys crocea and Larimichthys polyactis
BioChip Journal, 2014Large yellow croaker (Larimichthys crocea) and redlip yellow croaker (L. polyactis) are commonly consumed species in fisheries markets in East Asian countries. They have wide differences of price due to consumer preferences for L. polyactis. However, it is difficult to identify the species based on the appearance of both species from the general public.
