Simple Summary Insects represent a promising feed ingredient for poultry diets, as an alternative to the conventional feedstuffs. Once the black soldier fly (Hermetia illucens; HI) larvae are collected, they are processed to obtain two main products: the

Amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) microparticles with long‐term and thermal stability are prepared with or without collagen using a scalable one‐pot spray‐drying process. Under simulated physiological conditions, they crystallize into biomimetic bone mineral and, when combined with collagen, form extrudable, fibrillar bone‐like 3D constructs.

Establishment and Application of MCRV Detection Method for Larvae of Mud Crab, Scylla paramamosain
Mud crab reovirus (MCRV) present in Scylla paramamosain larvae poses notable risks to the late stage of mud crab aquaculture. The cultivation of MCRV-free larvae and prevention of virus transmission at its source have become critical issues that must be ...

Ontogeny of the Osmoregulatory Capacity of Teleosts and the Role of Ionocytes
Whilst osmoregulation in the adult teleost fish has been extensively studied and significant advances have been made in recent years, much less information exists regarding osmoregulation during the early stages of development of teleosts.

xxxx. ABSTRACT Glioblastoma (GBM) remains one of the most lethal brain cancers, with median survival rarely exceeding 15 months after diagnosis. Interleukin‐12 (IL‐12) is a potent immunostimulatory cytokine capable of reshaping the tumor microenvironment (TME), yet its clinical translation is hindered by systemic toxicity and short half‐life. RNA‐based

Oral Cysticercosis: A Diagnostic Difficulty [PDF]
Cysticercosis is a rare disease caused by the ingestion of the parasite Cysticercus cellulosae, a larval stage of Taenia solium. The definitive host is human who harbors the adult worm and may accidentally or incidentally become the host.

Butterfly wing scales are intricate cuticular functional nanosctructures. This perspective suggests that spatially varying material properties, cytoskeletal constraints, and growth‐driven mechanical instabilities shape the resulting nanoscale architectures created from single cells.

Changes in body composition and fatty acid profile during embryogenesis of quillback rockfish (Sebastes maliger) [PDF]
We investigated developmental changes in the body compositions and fatty acid (FA) profiles of embryos and preparturition larvae of the quillback rockfish (Sebastes maliger).

Coagulative granular hydrogels are composed of packed thrombin‐functionalized microgels that catalyze the conversion of fibrinogen into a secondary fibrin network, filling the interstitial voids. This bio‐inspired approach stabilizes the biomaterial to match the robustness of bulk hydrogels without compromising injectability, mimicking the initial ...

Galleria mellonella larvae allow the discrimination of toxic and non-toxic chemicals.
The acute toxicities of 19 chemicals were assessed using G. mellonella larvae. The results obtained were compared against LD50 values derived from in vitro cytotoxicity tests and against in vivo acute oral LD50 values.
