Single‐Cell Transcriptomics Identifies Novel Prognostic Signatures in HNSCC Immunotherapy Response

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates the value of combining single‐cell and bulk RNA sequencing approaches to understand HNSCC tumor biology and treatment response. The developed prognostic model and identified immune signatures provide a foundation for improving patient stratification and treatment selection.

Head and Neck Cancer Immunotherapy: Overcoming Limitations and Enhancing Efficacy

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
ICI‐included therapies are standard for R/M HNSCC patients. In particular, neoadjuvant ICI therapy shows promising clinical results even in nontreated resectable HNSCC patients. In addition, cancer vaccine, immune cell‐based therapy, immunomodulation therapy, and TME targeting therapy may combine with ICI.

Variation of Gene Expression and Methylation Profiling in Gingival and Tongue Cancers

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
In this study, we conducted comprehensive analyses of gene expression, DNA methylation, and tumor immunology in gingival squamous cell carcinoma (GSCC) and tongue squamous cell carcinoma (TSCC) to elucidate distinct gene expression patterns, their underlying mechanisms, and tumor immune profiles.

Preoperative Albumin‐To‐Globulin Ratio, Not Neutrophil‐To‐Lymphocyte Ratio, Predicts Overall Survival After Total Laryngectomy

open access: yesClinical Otolaryngology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the prognostic significance of preoperative inflammatory markers including platelet‐to‐lymphocyte ratio (PLR), neutrophil‐to‐lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and albumin‐to‐globulin ratio (AGR) in patients with laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC) undergoing total laryngectomy (TL).
