Diagnostics of Microcirculatory Disorders in Children with Infectious Pathology
Laser Doppler flowmetry method (LDF) was used to examine children (43 patients with enteroviral infection, 34 patients with Astrakhan rickettsial fever, and 40 healthy controls).

Laser Doppler Flowmetry in Manual Medicine Research
Abstract Laser Doppler flowmetry (LDF) is commonly used in combination with reactivity tests to noninvasively evaluate skin sympathetic nerve activity and skin microvascular function. In manual medicine research, LDF has been used as a marker for global peripheral sympathetic nervous system function, but these results ...

Heat Therapy: Targeting Health, Disease, and Disability
The predominance of evidence suggests heat therapy has an impact on all aspects of health and performance, but the drivers of that improvement, the extent to which they are improved, and the specific populations in which improvements manifest are far from completely understood.

High Dynamic Range Thin‐Film Resistive Flow Sensors for Monitoring Diverse Biofluids
Thin‐film resistive flow sensors with thermoresistive and piezoresistive mechanisms are developed for biofluid monitoring. Fabricated using biocompatible materials and laser micromachining, the devices achieve sub‐millimeter dimensions and a broad dynamic range.

Abstract Background SGLT2 inhibitors were initially approved by the FDA to lower blood sugar in type 2 diabetes. Later clinical trials showed significant benefits in treating heart failure, even in patients without uncontrolled diabetes. Recent evidence highlights cerebral hypoperfusion as an early symptom of AD/ADRD.

Laser Doppler flowmetry in the optic nerve
Laser Doppler flowmetry (LDF) is a technique that measures relative average velocity, number and flux (number times velocity) of red blood cells in a tissue. In this paper, we demonstrate its application in the optic nerve head tissue, describe the laser delivery and light scattering detection schemes and investigate the effect of the distance between ...

Investigating ischemic vascular dysfunction in Alzheimer's disease
Abstract Background Vascular dysfunction is one of the earliest pathological signs in the progression of Alzheimer's disease (AD). Ischemic injuries can cause long‐lasting vascular dysfunction in affected individuals and increase a patient's risk of developing dementia.
