Double-Pulse Remote Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy Analysis of Magnesium Alloys
A self-built double-pulse remote Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy system in a collinear configuration was used to investigate the magnesium alloys. The enhancement of the intensity was observed, about 4.7 times compared with single pulse LIBS.

This study unveils a novel antibacterial mechanism against MRSA, in which the compound Py‐27 selectively targets and inhibits aspartate transcarbamoylase (ATCase), a key enzyme in pyrimidine synthesis. This inhibition disrupts DNA replication, induces oxidative damage, leading to potent bactericidal activity.

Wavelet denoising method for laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy
The wavelet threshold denoising method is an effective noise suppression approach for noisy laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy spectrum. The wavelet threshold denoising method is influenced by several key issues such as the choice of wavelet, the ...

Chromatin Packing Domain Engineering Through the Manipulation of Nuclear Cationic States
Manipulation of intranuclear divalent cation concentrations rapidly and reversibly remodels chromatin packing domains in living cells. Magnesium depletion disrupts domain compaction, heterochromatin organization, and transcriptional regulation, whereas magnesium loading promotes more compact and stable domains.

Reducing Quantitative Fluctuation of Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy by Kalman Filtering
Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) is excellent for its potential of online compositional analysis. Large signal fluctuation is the major obstacle of LIBS for quantitative analysis application.

Porous Ultralow‐κ sp2‐Bonded Boron Nitride Thin Films as Copper Diffusion Barriers
Porous sp2‐bonded boron nitride (p‐BN) thin films with an ultralow dielectric constant (κ = 1.77) are directly grown on Si substrates via RF magnetron sputtering. The films feature uniform nanopores (1.85 nm), high mechanical stability, hydrophobicity, and excellent Cu diffusion barrier performance even at 3 nm thickness, offering a promising solution ...

A Novel Pak1 Activator Ameliorates ER Stress for HFpEF Therapy
Chronic metabolic stress is a major contributor to HFpEF progression. Under prolonged metabolic stress, Pak1 activity becomes impaired, contributing to disrupted ER proteostasis, cardiomyocyte apoptosis, fibrosis, and diastolic dysfunction. Mechanistically, Pak1 overexpression activates the ERK1/2–MNK1–eIF4E signaling axis, promotes translational ...
