Combining Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy with Molecular Laser-Induced Fluorescence

Applied Spectroscopy, 2016
We propose combining laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) with molecular laser-induced fluorescence (MLIF) with resulting plasma-borne molecules as a means of studying laser-induced plasma (LIP). Examples of this method with LIP-created Al, Si, and B monoxides are presented.

Laser-Induced Fluorescence Spectroscopy For Combustion Diagnostics

Optical Engineering, 1983
The types of spectroscopic and collisional measurements that are needed to develop laser-induced fluorescence as a diagnostic technique are discussed, with emphasis placed on combustion measurements. The spectroscopic measurements under collision-free conditions include production of radicals, excitation scan studies, lifetime measurements, and ...

Remote Imaging Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy and Laser-Induced Fluorescence Spectroscopy Using Nanosecond Pulses from a Mobile Lidar System

open access: yesApplied Spectroscopy, 2006
A mobile lidar system was used in remote imaging laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) and laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) experiments. Also, computer-controlled remote ablation of a chosen area was demonstrated, relevant to cleaning of cultural ...

Laser induced fluorescence spectroscopy of NC3O

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2008
Laser induced fluorescence spectra of the NC3O radical in a supersonic jet have been observed. The radical was produced in a pulsed electric discharge of HC3N and O2 diluted to 0.3% with Ar. A total of 17 vibronic bands with a radiative lifetime of ∼30ns have been observed in a region from 27000to27500cm−1. The observed vibronic bands are classified as

Laser Induced Fluorescence Spectroscopy of IrN

Chinese Journal of Chemical Physics, 2009
High resolution laser induced fluorescence spectra of IrN in the spectral region between 394 and 520 nm were recorded using laser vaporization/reaction free jet expansion and laser induced fluorescence spectroscopy. Seven new vibronic transition bands were observed and analyzed. Two = 1 and five = 0 new states were identified.

Laser-induced fluorescence spectroscopy of NC3S

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2004
In a discharged supersonic jet of acetonitrile and carbon disulfide, we have for the first time observed an electronic transition of the NC3S radical using laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) spectroscopy. A progression originating from the C–S stretching mode of the upper electronic state appears in the excitation spectrum.

Laser induced fluorescence spectroscopy of the C3N radical

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2007
Electronic spectra of the C3N radical have been observed for the first time in the near ultraviolet wavelength region by laser induced fluorescence (LIF) spectroscopy. Seventeen vibronic bands of the B̃Πi2–X̃Σ+2 electronic transition system of C3N were identified in LIF spectra of products in a discharge of HC3N.
