Laser-Induced Arterial Fluorescence Spectroscopy
1990Precise targeting of laser energy to atherosclerotic plaque is crucial for the safe performance of laser angioplasty. Although it is possible to increase the luminal diameter of an artery using direct laser energy [1], these efforts have been complicated in experimental studies by an unacceptably high incidence of vessel perforation [2–4].

Spectroscopy of K2 Using Laser-Induced Fluorescence
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1968When potassium vapor contained in a cell of aluminosilicate glass at 300°C is irradiated with the 6328-Å line of the He–Ne laser, several fluorescence series are excited which originate from the B 1Πu state of the 39K2 molecule. Analysis of the fluorescence allows the spectroscopic constants (cm−1) of the X 1Σg+ ground state as measured by Loomis and ...

Laser-Induced Fluorescence-Line-Narrowing Spectroscopy of Glass: Nd
Physical Review A, 1972Laser-induced fluorescence line narrowing has been studied in a series of samples of glass: Nd. The features of the nonresonant-excitation technique are described, and the results are discussed in terms of the known spectroscopic properties of the glass: Nd system.

Laser-induced fluorescence spectroscopy of the ketenyl radical
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1997We report the first laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) excitation spectrum of the ketenyl radical, HCCO, which is produced by the 193 nm photolysis of ketene in a free jet expansion. A series of vibronic bands in the B̃ 2Π–X̃ 2A′′ system are observed.

Laser induced fluorescence spectroscopy of the HC6S radical
Chemical Physics Letters, 2002Abstract New vibronic bands were observed in the 17 000–17 600 cm −1 region by laser induced fluorescence (LIF) spectroscopy in the discharged products of a mixture of C2H2 and CS2 in a supersonic jet. The effective rotational constants and the position of the vibronic band origin have been determined to be B ″ eff =0 ...

Differential temperature laser induced fluorescence spectroscopy
Chemical Physics, 2006Abstract We describe a technique, differential temperature laser induced fluorescence (DT-LIF), and an analytical algorithm, structure-based cross correlation (SBCC), that are capable of separating overlapping cold and hot bands in a laser induced fluorescence (LIF) spectrum.

Laser-induced fluorescence spectroscopy of TIPS-pentacene
Low Temperature PhysicsPolycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, particularly acenes, are gaining attention as candidates for organic semiconductors. TIPS-pentacene, a functionalized acene with triisopropylsilyl (TIPS) side groups, demonstrates enhanced physical stability, solubility, and superior charge transport properties due to improved molecular packing.

Laser-induced low-temperature fluorescence spectroscopy
TrAC Trends in Analytical Chemistry, 1983Abstract The absorption and fluorescence spectra of molecules are often very sharp under cryogenic sampling conditions. When a tunable laser is used to excite fluorescence, selective determinations of individual constituents of very complex samples are possible, and the highly resolved fluorescence spectra can serve as 'molecular fingerprints'
