Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

In Situ Micromechanical Study of Bimodal γ′–γ″ Precipitate Assemblies in Ni–Cr–Al–Nb Superalloy
A Ni–Cr–Al–Nb superalloy with a bimodal γ′–γ″ precipitate distribution is developed. Composite precipitate assemblies form through heterogeneous nucleation, effectively impeding dislocation motion. Micropillar compression reveals high strength at room and elevated temperatures, governed by precipitate shearing, with coupled faulting mechanisms ...

Simultaneous ion beam profile scan using a single laser source
We report on the world’s first experiment of a simultaneous profile scan of the hydrogen ion (H^{-}) beam using a laser wire system. The system was developed and brought to operational level of application at the superconducting linac of the Spallation ...

Beam profile measurements with the 2-D laser-wire at petra [PDF]
The current PETRA II Laser-Wire system, being developed for the ILC and PETRA III, uses a piezo- driven mirror to scan laser light across an electron bunch. This paper reports on the recently installed electron-beam finding system, presenting recent horizontal and vertical profile scans with corresponding studies.
