Beam Shaping Of Powerful Lasers
SPIE Proceedings, 1989Apodized (soft) apertures(AA) of 2-50 mm diameter with the near-Gaussian and the flat top spatial profiles in ultraviolet, visible and infrared regions are presented. They have the high thresholds for intensity damage.

Diffractive shaping of excimer laser beams
Journal of Modern Optics, 2000Abstract We address the problem of shaping the intensity distribution of a highly directional partially coherent field, such as an excimer laser beam, by means of diffractive optics. Our theoretical analysis is based on modelling the multi-transverse-mode laser beam as a Gaussian Schell-model beam. It is shown numerically that a periodic element, which

Laser Beam Shaping: Theory and Techniques addresses the theory and practice of every important technique for lossless beam shaping. Complete with experimental results as well as guidance on when beam shaping is practical and when each technique is appropriate, the Second Edition is updated to reflect significant developments in the field.

Hazard analysis on gaussian shaped laser beams
American Industrial Hygiene Association Journal, 1980Laser safety evaluations are usually difficult for those who do not perform these evaluations every day. The author develops formulae for hazard evaluation based on a Gaussian beam shape. These formulae may be applied to a variety of situations even though an electronic calculator usually is required to solve them.

Dammann Gratings For Laser Beam Shaping
Optical Engineering, 1989Dammann gratings are binary phase gratings that are used to produce a one- or two-dimensional array of equal-intensity light spots. Recently, Dammann gratings have become of interest for their ability to provide the optical power supply to an array of optical logic devices from a single laser source.

Shaping propagation invariant laser beams
Optical Engineering, 2015Propagation-invariant structured laser beams possess several unique properties and play an important role in various photonics applications. The majority of propagation invariant beams are produced in the form of laser modes emanating from stable laser cavities. Therefore, their spatial structure is limited by the intracavity mode formation.

Laser Beam Shaping with Optical Fibers
1996The spatial intensity profile of a laser beam is of crucial importance for many laser applications. Homogeneous illumination or ablation of a sample by laser radiation requires a “flat top” intensity distribution. As an alternative to complex optical systems the use of optical fibers has been tested for beam shaping of XeCl excimer lasers. By controled

Laser beam shaping with an ellipsoidal lens
Optik, 2013Abstract This paper presents a semiconductor laser beam shaping system that can collimate the irradiance profile effectively by using an ellipsoidal lens. Geometrical optics analysis based on the ray tracing method is done and the formulas to calculate the shape of ellipsoidal lens are given. Both the theoretical and experimental result show that the
