Dynamic focus shaping with mixed-aperture coherent beam combining [PDF]

open access: yesOptics Letters, 2021
A novel concept for dynamic focus shaping based on highly efficient coherent beam combining with micro-lens arrays (MLAs) as the combining element is presented. This concept allows us to control the power weights of diffraction orders by varying the absolute phases of an array of input beams. A proof-of-principle experiment is supported by simulations.

Reconfigurable dynamic beam shaping in seeded frequency doubling

open access: yesOptics Letters, 2001
A new method that allows simultaneous frequency doubling and dynamic shaping of a Gaussian beam into a variety of light patterns is introduced. The novel technique is based on the controllable generation of multiple-vortex patterns in seeded schemes. Applications include the generation of dynamic patterns of frequency-doubled, coherent optical tweezers.
