Throughput scaling by spatial beam shaping and dynamic focusing
With availability of high power ultra short pulsed lasers, one prerequisite towards throughput scaling demanded for industrial ultrafast laser processing was recently achieved. We will present different scaling approaches for ultrafast machining, including raster and vector based concepts.

Dynamic plasmonic beam shaping by vector beams with arbitrary locally linear polarization states [PDF]
Vector beams, which have space-variant state of polarization (SOP) comparing with scalar beams with spatially homogeneous SOP, are used to manipulate surface plasmon polarizations (SPPs). We find that the excitation, orientation, and distribution of the focused SPPs excited in a high numerical aperture microscopic configuration highly depend on the ...

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...

Electrically tunable metasurface by using InAs in a metal–insulator–metal configuration
The ability of modulating optical properties at a lateral subwavelength scale is of crucial importance due to its potential applications for wide-angle holographic displays, optical communications, and interferometric sensors.

Exposure Time Variation Method Using DMD for Microstereolithography
In stereolithography, parts are fabricated by curing photopolymeric resins with light. The application of stereolithography can now be extended to a very small scale. The process, called microstereolithography, can fabricate parts on a microscale without

Dynamic Correction of the Influence of Long Measuring Path Irregularity in Antenna Tests
This article investigates the influence of random microwave discontinuities on the characteristics of long transmission paths. This is most important for dynamic measuring stands, accompanied by multiple space movement of long transmission paths with ...

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

The modern method of creating dynamically scaled models to study aircraft flutter characteristics
A complex research, which included the design, manufacture, and testing of a dynamically scaled model of the all-moving tail (AMT) of an aircraft with the numerical calculations at each stage, was carried out. The dynamically scaled model was designed to
