A Sustainable Approach to Ink Colorant Removal Using Modified Cellulose From Wastepaper

open access: yesPolymer Engineering &Science, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration of converting waste paper into cellulose microfibers, fabrication of cellulose‐based hydrogel, and its application for ink removal. ABSTRACT This study reports the fabrication of cellulose‐based hydrogels for ink pigment removal using hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC) and cellulose fibers (CF) recovered from office wastepaper ...

SPROUTS_DB: An Implemented Database of Contaminants for Extracellular Vesicle Proteomics Studies

open access: yesPROTEOMICS, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Current proteomics techniques allow rapid identification and quantification of proteins within any given biological source. However, LC–MS/MS proteomics is vulnerable to laboratory and sample‐associated contaminants. Therefore, accurate identification and annotation of such contaminants is crucial for development of reliable databases ...

Breaking through tradition: A new study on the 125I seeds implantation assisted by the puncture angle guidance device

open access: yesPrecision Medical Sciences, EarlyView.
This study showed the puncture angle guide device assisted 125I seeds implantation is safe and feasible. Compared with the manual deployment of needles, the puncture time, the number of puncture needle adjustments, and the number of intraoperative CT scans are significantly reduced, which can be used in clinical applications.

Dynamic Switchable and Transient DNA Condensates Driven by Aptamer‐Ligand or Ion‐Nucleobase Bridged Complexes

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Switchable or transient formation and dissociation of the phase‐separated DNA microdroplets generated by metal ions or aptamer‐ligand complexes crosslinking Y‐shaped DNA frameworks and dynamically separated by counter ligands eliminating the bridging metal ions or biocatalysts degrading the aptamer‐ligand complexes, are introduced.
