Laser destruction of renal calculi
Endoscopic delivery of Nd:YAG laser energy to the kidney is possible via a percutaneous approach using a nephroscope. A pulsed Neodymuim:YAG laser has been used to fragment renal calculi in an investigational model and further studies along this line are planned.

Influence of light polarization on laser destruction
The bending of the channel of laser destruction in metals and dielectrics is observed experimentally. The plane of bending is proved to be perpendicular to the polarization plane of the incident laser beam. It is shown that the bending is a result of the polarization dependence of the light reflectivity from the surface of the channel, but not of the ...

Argon Laser Destruction of Anterior Chamber Implantation Cysts
Ophthalmology, 1984Five patients with anterior chamber implantation cysts underwent argon laser therapy. Three cysts were eradicated and one shrunk to a small stable remnant within 1 to 5 treatment sessions. One cyst re-formed repeatedly, prompting iridocyclectomy. Follow-up ranged from 3 to 38 months.

Laser Destruction of Synovial Cysts

Argon laser destruction of cutaneous telangiectatic lesions
The Laryngoscope, 1981AbstractAn ophthalmological slit lamp argon laser was used on 8 patients with multiple cutaneous and mucosal telangiectases; 6 patients had telangiectatic lesions of various etiologies and 2 had hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (Osier‐Weber‐Rendu disease). Bleeding from trauma was the primary symptom with cosmesis as a secondary consideration. The

Investigation of laser-induced destruction of droplets by acoustic methods
Applied Optics, 1996Experimental investigations of acoustic signals generated by individual laser-irradiated water droplets are reported. The dependence of droplet destruction thresholds on droplet radius and radiative heating rate is determined. A theoretical explanation of our experimental results is provided in terms of a model that includes the processes of droplet ...
