Application of laser sensors for on-line calibration of displacement transducers
SPIE Proceedings, 2010On-line calibration is widely used no matter in science research or industrial production. In this paper, an on-line calibration approach for industrial displacement transducers has been developed. We used laser displacement sensor as standard and improved its accuracy to meet the requirements in different applications.

2011 Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, 2011
The purpose of this study is to investigate the transfer functions of mechanomyograms (MMGs) detected with an acceleration sensor and a laser displacement meter. The MMGs evoked by electrical stimulation to the peroneal nerve were recorded on the skin of the tibial anterior muscle.

Laser-based fabrication of a displacement sensor with an integrated high-accuracy position sensor
SPIE Proceedings, 2006We present a high-accuracy force or displacement sensor made only of fused silica. This device merges integrated optics and micro-mechanics in a monolithic substrate. It differs from previous micro force sensor works in that the measured variable is acquired optically, rather than electrically.

Calibration of laser displacement sensor used by industrial robots
Optical Engineering, 2004We propose a unique approach for calibrating robot tool center point (TCP) using a noncontact sensor such as a laser displacement sensor. This approach is based on nonlinear least square optimization algorithms with geometry constraints. Experimental results show that calibration algorithm is robust and the calibration error is reduced significantly ...

Laser speckle-based sensor for in-plane displacement sensing
Laser speckle-based in-plane displacement sensors offer several desirable properties, such as a simple setup, contactless measurements, and high resolution. However, they have been limited in their measurement range in the past. Overcoming this limitation in recent research has led to renewed interest in the measurement principle in various fields ...openaire +1 more source
